Teenager Aaron used to look after his sick mother whilst his father Jacob worked day and night to afford her treatment. After her death, Jacob borrows money off his drug-dealing brother Miles to pay back her treatment bills. Buckling under grief, Jacob blames Aaron for her death and physically abuses him. Seeking refuge with Miles, Aaron realizes he cannot escape his father and retaliates against him.
