Senkichi is a dull man who works as a live-in caretaker at a movie theater. He harbors feelings for Rishiko, the owner of a seedy bar. However, despite his drunken attempts to woo her, he is rejected. Then, his older brother figure, Tetsuya, appears with his wife, Kaori.
