When Katie Blackwell and her husband, Will, move into their first home, life appears to be on track until terrifying nightmares and violent hauntings leave the two at odds with one another. Will soon finds Katie sleepwalking and painting a grotesque portrait in her sleep. Katie doesn't remember any of it, but now finds herself compelled to complete portrait at any and all costs. Will decides to investigate the matter with the help of his friend Howard as they unravel a macabre mystery from the 1840's involving black magic and resurrection.
