Ryan Merchant is an American singer, songwriter, and producer, best known as one-half of the Los Angeles-based indie-pop duo Capital Cities. Alongside his bandmate Sebu Simonian, Merchant achieved international fame with the multi-platinum hit single "Safe and Sound".
