Carlos Méndez

Carlos Méndez (Guatemala, 2004) is a filmmaker with a multidisciplinary background, he has developed a holistic approach to cinema, gaining experience in directing, cinematography, editing, sound design, and music composition. As a director, he has created the short films Una hora de silencio (2023), Blanco (2024), and Musique (2024), in which he explores themes such as confinement, repetition, and loss of identity through a minimalist and contemplative aesthetic. His narrative style is marked by the use of silence, slow pacing, and visually symbolic language.
