André Moniz Vieira (Funchal, 1995) is a filmmaker, photographer and video artist. His artistic work explores themes such as psychology, mysticism and human esotericism, using a unique introspective approach. Since the beginning of his career in 2017, he has built a diverse portfolio, which includes short films, documentaries, music videos and digital content. In cinema, his most notable projects include the short films Melodies of a Mute Life (2017), Húmus (2019), Dada (2019) and The Man Who Lost His Shadow (2026), screened at regional, national and international festivals. As a documentary filmmaker, he directed O Sol Marca A Sombra (2021) for the Cecília Zino Foundation, Romeiros do Curral (2021) and Entre As Veias da Cidade (2025), both in co-production with the Funchal City Council, Trégua (2022) in co-production with Casa Invisível, awarded the "Rehabilitation Qualities" prize at the Olsztyn International Film Festival "Prison Movie", in Poland, in 2023 and A Street with a Home Inside It (2025) in partnership with the Associação Cultural e Social das Ilhas.
