Artemis Matsas had studied at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory and worked as a film and art editor in newspapers and magazines. His first films in which he acted in cinema were Erotic Journey (1949) and The Engagements (1950). As a director, he had the troupe "Dream Studio". He died at the age of 73 in Athens.
